CHAVEZPR wins Best Corporate/Business Multicultural PR Campaign at 2024 PRSA-LA PRISM AWARDS

ChavezPR, based in Los Angeles, has been honored with the PRism Award from the Public Relations Society of America, Los Angeles Chapter for Best Multicultural Communications Campaign of the Year, Corporate/Business for its work on behalf of Northgate González Market.

In November 2023, Northgate González Market opened Mercado González, a vibrant Mexican food hall that seamlessly integrates a supermarket experience with diverse food stalls, live music, and cultural items. This bold expansion showcases the independent grocery chain’s deep-rooted connection to Southern California and its commitment to serving the community.

The challenge for the ChavezPR team was to generate significant buzz around the new food hall, targeting audiences beyond its core Mexican American consumers while highlighting the authenticity and richness of its Mexican roots, flair, and flavor. Through six months of proactive media pitching, the campaign successfully achieved over 1.02 BILLION in audience reach.
