Chayanne @ Nestlé Private Concert In LA.
June 30, 2002
This summer, Nestlé teams up with the number one Hispanic radio station in Los Angeles, KLVE 107.5 FM, to create Vive el Sabor de tu Música con Nestlé, a celebration that combines the food and music that Latinos love into one sizzling summer promotion. From July 27 to September 15, local contestants will receive a free limited edition Latin music CD from KLVE when they purchase $10 of participating Nestlé products. They can also enter to win tickets to a private concert with Latin pop star, Chayanne, which will be hosted by Nestlé and KLVE on October 23. Contestants can enter the sweepstakes at one of more than 350 in-store promotional displays at participating grocery stores in the Los Angeles area, including Super A Foods, Superior and KV Mart.
“Vive el Sabor de tu Música con Nestlé, celebrates two important aspects of our culture – the love for food and music – and demonstrates our continued commitment to provide the very best to the U.S. Latino community,” said Martin Cuburu, manager, Hispanic Marketing, Nestlé USA.
Nestlé brands included in the promotion are: Kerns from Libby’s, Nesquik, Nestea, Nestlé Carnation Coffee-Mate, Carlos V, Nescafé Clasico, Nescafé Frothé, Juicy Juice and Nestlé Crunch. The exclusive Latin music CD, free with the $10 purchase of any combination of these products, features premiere Latin sensations: Cristian Castro, Paulina Rubio, Luis Fonsi, Franco De Vita, Pedro Fernandez and many more. Those who win Chayanne concert tickets will also be treated to a Nestlé red carpet extravaganza. In addition to Nestlé’s promotional displays, Los Angeles’ favorite KLVE DJ’s will be hosting 16 remote broadcasts at participating grocery stores throughout the summer. The first live remote will be held on July 28 at Super A Foods in Highland Park.
Nestlé will kick off the promotion with a breakfast fiesta on July 25, at the Blind Childrens Center of Los Angeles, a family-centered agency offering early intervention and specialized preschool education training for blind or visually impaired children, ages 0-5, and their families. The party will feature beloved KLVE DJ, Pepe Barreto and Pico, the Kerns® Mascot and will be highlighted by the presentation of a $5,000 donation to the Blind Center. The kickoff celebration is in appreciation of the Latino community and represents a shared commitment
to helping local Latinos in need.
