Chef Lorena Joins Univision’s Morning ‘Despierta America’.

Cocinando con Nestlé with Chef Lorena García moves to Univision’s top-rated morning news and entertainment program, “Despierta América.”

The cooking segments will air every Friday through the end of the year and will feature charismatic chef Lorena preparing easy and tasty recipes made with Nestlé’s popular Latino brands. Recipes featured each week are designed to bring back memories of traditional, rich Latin American cuisine. The five brands, combined as part of Cocinando con Nestlé, are widely used in Mexico and Latin American countries to make traditional recipes Latino families love.

“Nestlé is my trusted partner in the kitchen, and I’m very excited begin my third year with Cocinando con Nestlé and share some great recipes with viewers,” said Chef Lorena.

“These are exciting times for Cocinando con Nestlé,” stated Guille Lagos, marketing manager at Nestlé. “Our culinary program keeps growing and we look forward to reaching ‘Despierta América’ viewers and inspire new fans and food enthusiasts who appreciate authentic Latin cuisine,” Lagos added.

Nestlé also takes the Latino culinary program on the road. Cocinando Nestlé participates in the country’s largest national Hispanic festivals such as Los Angeles’ Fiesta Broadway; New York’s 116th Street Festival; Chicago’s Fiesta del Sol; and Miami’s Calle Ocho. Festival participation includes product sampling and a special appearance by chef Lorena García who rolls up her sleeves for live cooking demos. Chef Lorena García also conducts in-market media tours before and after the festivals.
