Chrysler Financial & Univision Chicago hosts Financial Lifeskills Training.

As part of Univision Chicago’s “Cuentas Claras” (Financial Know-How) program, Chrysler Financial hosted a Train the Trainer Session featuring five modules from the company’s Financial Lifeskills program.

The “Cuentas Claras” initiative represents the financial literacy arm of Univision Chicago’s multi-issue “Avanzando Contigo” (Advancing with You) umbrella community service campaign. Univision strives to illustrate to viewers how to achieve the American Dream for themselves and their families through financial know-how. Chrysler Financial is committed to financial empowerment through education and this training session will provide community based organizations with needed resources and tools to offer useful information to many members of the community.

“Understanding basic financial concepts is important to one’s plans for personal financial success,” said Peter Guthrie, Director – Midwest Business Center for Chrysler Financial. “As financial services can seem complex, it is our mission to demystify the vehicle financing process and support programming that supplies people with the fundamental financial building blocks to make good financial decisions.”

In addition to Train the Trainer financial literacy sessions, Chrysler Financial has supported a Town Hall dedicated to community advancement in the Metropolitan Chicago area and sponsored Univision Chicago’s dedicated weekly financial news segments every Tuesday at 10 p.m., as well as nightly primetime financial education information capsules Monday-Sunday.
