Cinelatino Premieres Two Hit Turkish Movies on Mother’s Day

Cinelatino has secured the exclusive U.S. pay TV premieres of the Turkish blockbuster hits El Factor Marido 1 & 2 (“Husband Factor I & II”), which will air back-to-back on Sunday, May 13, in celebration of Mother’s Day. These premieres will mark the network’s first airing of a Turkish movie.

El Factor Marido I was the third highest-grossing Turkish movie when it was released in 2015, and its sequel was among the top seven highest-grossing movies in the Turkish box office the following year. The sweet romantic comedy follows a 30-something-year-old woman whose never experienced love, and her journey as she enlists the help of her family and friends to help her conquer her childhood crush.  

“Cinelatino has always been a pioneer in Spanish-language cable, and we are thrilled to become the first pay TV network to air a Turkish movie in Spanish,” said James McNamara, Vice Chairman of Hemisphere Media Group, Inc., Cinelatino’s parent company. “Turkish novelas are an undeniable phenomenon among Latina women both in the U.S. and across Latin America, and we’re confident this passion for high-quality Turkish content will turn these movies into a ratings hit.”
  Cinelatino is also premiering a variety of international hits in May, among them:

Complot (“Conspiracy”): Set in the dangerous streets of Caracas, Complot tells the original thrilling story of a desperate young girl who gets mixed up with dangerous criminals in a twisted kidnapping plot, which reflects the violence, chaos and uncertainty of today’s Venezuela.

El Candidato (“The Candidate”): A hilarious political satire where four candidates fight at the chance to be elected the new president of Peru. The film is a portrait of the corruption and madness that ensues in many Latin American countries during elections.

Los Ángeles :17-year-old Mateo prepares to migrate to Los Angeles; however, before he can depart, the leader of the local gang demands that he joins their gang by committing a murder in this popular film-festival celebrated movie about a young man’s struggle for a better life.
