Cingular Wireless Now Has 50 M Customers.

Marking a major milestone, Cingular Wireless announced at CTIA Wireless 2005 that it now has 50 million customers.

“Attaining 50 million customers is a key indicator that our merger with AT&T Wireless is working and working robustly,” said Stan Sigman, Cingular’s president and chief executive officer. “Fifty million customers, which is over three million more than we had as of October 1 of last year, means that nearly three of every 10 current U.S. wireless subscribers are now Cingular customers. Yet we strive to treat each and every one of our customers as an individual person or business.”
