Ciurana named President of Programming & Content at Univision Networks.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that television industry veteran Alberto Ciurana will be joining Univision Networks as president of Programming and Content. Ciurana will be based in Miami and report to Cesar Conde, president of Univision Networks. He will oversee programming for Univision’s broadcast and cable networks.
Ciurana brings more than 34 years of experience in programming and entertainment, most recently serving as head of programming at Televisa, leading their networks to record-setting ratings. In his 15 years as head of programming at Televisa he has established the Company as one of the leading media conglomerates around the world. Prior to this role, he oversaw international operations at Televisa, helping expand the company’s brand and reach around the world, and was based in London with responsibility for Eurovisa. Ciurana worked at Univision Network early in his career. He began his career in television working as a producer for the weekly variety show “Siempre en Domingo.”

Luis Fernandez will serve as president of Univision Studios, reporting to Conde. Jessica Rodriguez, executive vice president of Program Scheduling and Promotions, will report to Ciurana.
