Claudia Trejos Joins Telemundo 52 KVEA-TV.

Telemundo 52, KVEA-TV announced the addition of Claudia Trejos to their powerhouse sports franchise, where she will anchor the all-important Weekend Sports.
Most recently, Claudia was the weekend Sports Anchor and Sports Reporter for KTLA-TV, Los Angeles. The native Colombian brings a wealth of experience in the local, national and international sports arenas. *Claudia Trejos’ reputation as a seasoned sports broadcast professional as well as her enthusiasm, passion and unwavering dedication to her viewers and community make her an important member of our Telemundo 52 Sports team,* said Vice President and General Manager, Fernando Lopez.
Claudia was the first female Sports Director in the Los Angeles television market and one of the first Spanish-language television reporters to make the transition to English-language television. She began her career in sports news at WX-TV in New York and Fox Sports America/Prime Deportiva in Los Angeles and then became the Sports Director/Anchor for KWHY-TV in Los Angeles (Telemundo acquired KWHY-TV on June 1, 2001). Claudia then joined KTLA-TV. She also hosts a Public Affairs show for KLCS-TV, *In Focus* * a daily talk show about Los Angeles educational issues.
Claudia is passionate about all sports. Her command of her subjects and in-depth knowledge have gained her the respect of both viewers and athletes. Her years of sports reporting and interviewing have allowed her to develop key relationships in the Sports world. Says Trejos, *I am truly a sports nut and love the Los Angeles sports scene and fanatic fans as well as giving back to my community. Committed to the Los Angeles and the Latino community, Trejos has a reputation for working to make a difference. She participates in numerous local events for non-profit organizations including the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the LA County Head Start programs and the Women at Work conferences. Claudia was honored by the City of Hope with a Woman of Hope Award; by the national mentoring organization, MANA as a positive role model; by the Colombian Counsel General; and by *Unidos Por Colombia.*
Claudia is a die-hard Los Angeles Lakers fan and, in what’s left of her spare time, she appears regularly on Showtime’s *Resurrection Blvd,* the CBS soap *The Bold and the Beautiful,* and Telemundo’s *Los Beltran.* She has been featured in People Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, La Opinión and Hispanic Lifestyle Magazine, among many.
