Clear Channel Boston launches Rumba 1200.

WKOX-WXKS-AM became Boston’s only full-market Spanish language station with the launch of “Rumba 1200.” The format is Spanish/Tropical with an emphasis on Salsa, Merengue, Bachata and Raggaeton music. “Rumba 1200” will feature music from core artists including Marc Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Victor Manuelle, Gran Combo, Juan Luis Guerra, Daddy Yankee, Monchy & Alexandra, India and Aventura.
