CNN Latino inaugurates its signal in LA.

CNN Latino will be aired throughout California on January 28th of this year.

Angelica Vale, Kate del Castillo, Eduardo Verastegui, Fernando Carrillo, Maria Conchita Alonso, Michelle Salas, Diego Boneta, David Henrie, Christian Chavez, Maripily Rivera, Diana Reyes, Lance Dos Ramos, Yareli Arizmendi, Sergio Arau, Dra.Nancy Alvarez, Sarodj Bertin (Miss Haiti), Ojani Noa, Carla Ortiz, Oscar Torre, Rosita Hurtado, Patricia de Leon, Diego Schoening, Dr. Drew Pinsky , Mayte Prida, accompanied part of the CNN Latino team and welcomed Elizabeth Espinosa, the new host of “Sin Límites”, a show that will air from Los Angeles and will be directed at Latinos. The hosts of the network who were present at the event included: Patricia Janiot, Fernando del Rincón, Ismael Cala, Lucia Navarro, Juan Carlos Arciniegas, Carmen Aristegui, Mario González, and Dr. Marisa Azaret.

Mexican Regional singer Diana Reyes was chosen as godmother of the event, and aside from performing she said, “I’m very happy to have this honor, but above all to have this signal, which now will allow me to know what our Latino community needs here in Los Angeles. Welcome!”

Cynthia Hudson, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CNN en Español and Hispanic strategy for CNN/U.S., stated in her welcome speech, “The market is so diverse and so big that there is room for two distinct options of content. There is a real demand for relevant, dynamic, and quality programming and CNN Latino is a unique product, designed specifically for the growing Hispanic audience in the United States that represents the dual reality of today’s Latinos in the U.S., who are multi-generational and are proud to be bilingual. The launch of CNN Latino is the first step in bringing this syndicated programming block to local broadcasters in the key markets in the U.S.”
