Conrad named SVP Programming and Acquisitions at Univision

In his role of senior vice president, Programming & Acquisitions, Conrad will spearhead all sports programming, acquisitions and content development operations across Univision Deportes platforms. He joined UCI in 2011 as vice president of programming and led the Univision Deportes’ coordination of the World Cup and other FIFA properties. He played a key role in developing the long term, multi-platform content strategy for Univision Deportes and was instrumental to the successful launch of UDN (Univision Deportes Network). In his time at Univision Deportes, sports programming hours increased from 1,700 to over 10,000 hours yearly, the most in Univision Deportes’ history. He has negotiated long term agreements with the premier soccer properties in the world, as well as other sports, including Major League Soccer and US Soccer, CONCACAF, the Mexican National Team, Liga MX, Copa America 2016, NBA and the NFL. Before joining Univision Deportes, Conrad was senior director of programming and acquisitions for ESPN and ESPN Deportes, and held a sales and marketing role at Major League Baseball (MLB). Conrad started his career at the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the International Television and Media Department. He was recognized by the Sports Business Journal as part of their “Forty under 40” in 2014 and was similarly recognized by Multichannel News in their “Top 40 under 40” in 2013.
