Copa La Opinión.

La Opinión announced that it will host its first annual Copa La Opinión youth soccer tournament on May 4-5. In partnership with PRIMETIME Sports, a leading Hispanic Sports marketing Agency, Copa La Opinión will bring together 12 independent Hispanic youth leagues in Los Angeles DMA for a chance to compete for the Copa La Opinión championship.

Copa La Opinión soccer players, ranging in ages 10-18, will get the opportunity to play in an all-star interleague 2-day tournament at the Bell Gardens Sports Complex. The inaugural program is set to provide an opportunity to showcase talent among independent Hispanic youth leagues. Players will receive equal opportunities and benefits within their level of play, with an emphasis on discovering top Hispanic youth players.

With the tournament drawing over 5,000 players and their families, La Opinión will show that combining a healthy diet with an active lifestyle is instrumental in reducing the risk of heart disease, cancer and obesity in the Hispanic community. Participating sponsors will offer free health screenings, training clinics and healthy cooking options for young athletes.

“Investing in our communities and in our youth is what Copa La Opinión is all about. There is so much talent in independent Hispanic youth leagues and this is an opportunity to highlight their athletic achievements and invest in the development of our young people,” stated Monica Lozano, CEO of impreMedia.
