Copa Nissan Sudamericana returns to FOX Deportes.

FOX Deportes announced the return of the Copa Nissan Sudamericana to its continuing lineup of exclusive Spanish language soccer action. The 9th edition of Copa Sudamericana, one of the most  prestigious annual soccer competitions, is gearing up for the semifinals phase scheduled to air the week of November 17th with the start of the first leg, followed by the second leg on November 24th. Top clubs from Brazil, Ecuador, and Argentina will face-off for a slot in the finals after a grueling tournament that began in August and concludes in December.

Copa Sudamericana rules dictate that teams from the same country that reach the semifinal round must face each other. With two teams from Brazil qualified for the semifinal round, the Brazilians are assured at least one spot in the finals berth with either Goias (BRA) or Palmeiras (BRA) advancing. The other spot will result from the confrontation between Independiente from Argentina against the defending champion, LDU Quito from Ecuador.
