Copa Univision Commemorates 20 Years of Community Soccer with High-Level Competition

TelevisaUnivision concluded its 2022 Copa Univision Tour. This year marked the 20th anniversary of Copa Univision. The event kicked off in Phoenix on May 7, 2022, continuing in Los Angeles, Dallas, Austin, Houston, Chicago, Miami and ending in New York on August 20.

This year marked a triumphant return of the vibrant experience – honoring Univision’s 20-year legacy of bringing communities together through one of Latin America’s largest cultural cornerstones – fútbol. Nearly 9,000 players competed in Copa Univision 2022, with 60,000+ event attendees and 100 sponsors.

Copa Univision is an annual soccer event celebrating high-level competition, community building, and family engagement. The competition attracts thousands of competitors and spectators each year. This year’s events featured competitions for children aged seventeen years and under. The opportunity provided children and families with a healthy, fast-paced environment that allowed for recreation and team building. Additionally, Copa Univision 2022 included a range of entertainment activities and experiences, including meet-and-greets with local Univision on-air personalities, musical performances, contests, and giveaways.
