Corazón Partido In Production @ Telemundo.

Telemundo announced that it has started production on its newest original primetime novela “Corazón Partido,” the latest project to come from the network’s partnership with Mexican television producer, Argos; alongside which it has produced other novella hits like “El Alma Herida” and “Ladron de Corazones”. The announcement was made by Patricio Wills, President of Telemundo-RTI and Head of Production for Telemundo. “Corazón Partido” is set to launch later this fourth quarter.
“This newest and latest production marks yet another, high-quality, original Telemundo novela to be produced in-house and stamped with the ‘Hecho Para Ti’ seal of approval,” said Wills. “Approximately 300 of the most talented people in the business make-up the technical and production crew that give life to this new project that is sure to capture our viewer’s hearts.”
“‘Corazón Partido’ is a novella with an urban and contemporary feel where Mexico City is the main character,” said Epigmenio Ibarra, CEO, Argos. “Alongside Telemundo we’ve been able to offer the U.S. Hispanic and international audience products that are distinguish for their production values and this novela will also stand out for its relevant plot and great quality.”
Starring novela fan favorites, Danna Garcia (Pasión de Gavilanes, Te Voy a Enseñar a Querer), José Angel Llamas (Amor Descarado, La Venganza), Saby Kamalich (Gitanas, Mirada de Mujer), and Carlos Torres Torrija (Gitanas, La Virgen de Guadalupe); “Corazón Partido” is being shot on-location at a mansion located in the exclusive zone of “El Pedregal” in Mexico City, Mexico. Some of the scenes are also being shot at the renowned Haciendas Cuervo and Sauza; two of Mexico’s most important tequila producers; while at Argos’ production studios in Tlalnepantla, the production crew has recreated an authentic Mexican barrio, similar to the popular zone of Popotla. The novela will be directed by Moisés Ortíz Urqidi who has spearheaded previous Telemundo hits like “El Alma Herida”.
“Corazón Partido” chronicles the story of a young woman who returns home in search of the son that was taken away from her at birth. In a city of 25 million people, she will unknowingly fall in love with a married man who turns out to be her son’s adoptive father. She will then struggle with the lifelong question; does giving birth make you the parent of a child or is it the care and love that you put into raising him/her that earns you that right?
