Creative Artists Agency Signs Alejandro Fernandez.

Creative Artists Agency (CAA) has signed multi-platinum, Latin Grammy award-winning artist Alejandro Fernandez, for representation.

For over a decade, Fernandez has emerged as one of Mexico’s leading superstars and has made a lasting impression on audiences around the world by bringing Mexican culture across international borders with his romantic songs, ballads and traditional mariachi favorites. His discography includes 12 releases, which have sold in excess of 12 million copies worldwide. He topped Billboard charts with the successful release of “Me Estoy Enamorando,” which earned him multi-platinum status in Latin America, making him the first Latin artist with two singles in the Top 10. He received a Latin Grammy Award for “Best Regional Song” at the First Annual Latin Grammy Awards. Additional accolades include the Gaviota del Oro (Vina del Mar, Chile), Premios Oye (Mexico), Premios Luna (Mexico) and Premios Lo Nuestro (U.S.). Alejandro has worked with a diverse group of acclaimed artists including Gloria Estefan, Placido Domingo, Julio Iglesias, Patricia Kass, the London Symphony Orchestra and his legendary, Grammy Award winning father, Vicente Fernandez. He continues to sell out arenas in the U.S., Mexico and Latin America.

Fernandez will tour in Mexico and Central America in early 2004. He will also make his big screen debut in March, starring as the lead in director Alfonso Arau’s ZAPATA. His new album will be released this summer. Fernandez is managed by Star Productions in Guadalajara.
