Creative Civilization adds to the team.

Creative Civilization has expanded, according to agency President Gisela Girard, with new staff additions in the public relations, media and production departments.
Joining the public relations department is Ronnie Ramirez, account executive and Lisa Martin as an assistant account executive. Joining the media department is Sonia Orozco as a new media planner/buyer and joining the production department is Barbie Rugen as a traffic/production manager.
Ronnie Ramirez joins the public relations team as an account executive offering a distinctive perspective to her current and future projects. Ramirez has five years of public relations experience and most recently was a marketing communications manager for the National Basketball Association in New York. Ramirez was responsible for a number of projects including: NBA Grassroots initiatives – Rhythm n’ Rims and Jam Van, NBA All-Star Jam Session, and the NBA Store of Fifth Avenue. Ramirez also managed the Southwest Airlines/NBA community initiatives – Shoot for Hope Program and Quest for Equality Tour. A native of Dripping Springs, TX, Ramirez is a 2004 graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio, with a degree in Communications.
Lisa Martin has also joined the public relations team as an assistant account executive. Born and raised in San Antonio, she earned her a B.A. in Public Relations from Texas State University. Previously, Martin served valuable internships at Guerra DeBerry & Coody and AVANCE, a nationally recognized non-profit agency that focuses on parent education and early childhood development. She is currently attending the University of the Incarnate Word in pursuit of a Master of Arts in Communications with a focus in Advertising.

Barbie Rugen joins Creative Civilization as a traffic/production manager bringing extensive experience in traffic and production responsibilities. Most recently, Rugen was a broadcast producer for Cartel Creativo working on a number of accounts, including JC Penney, U.S. Army and Dr. Pepper. Rugen has more than 10 years of experience in the industry, and has proven herself to be extremely efficient in helping to lead agency creative projects. Rugen, a native of San Antonio, received her B.A. of Marketing from The University of the Incarnate Word.
Sonia Orozco joins the media department as a media planner/buyer. Orozco is responsible for negotiating media buys across all forms of media, including broadcast, print and outdoor. She is also responsible for identifying alternative media methods for the agency’s clients. A native of San Antonio, Orozco has three years of experience in media buying most recently with Bromley Communications and has worked with national clients such as Burger King, Procter and Gamble, and Tecate Cerveza.
