Creative Civilization Launches Energy, Media & Rodeo.
November 22, 2003
Creative Civilization just released three new large-scale general market and Hispanic market advertising campaigns for City Public Service (CPS) utility company, Hearst Corporation’s San Antonio Express-News and the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.
City Public Service
Creative Civilization developed and produced both English and Spanish radio, print and television spots for City Public Service’s conservation advertising campaign.
The objective of the campaign is to increase awareness among residential customers of conservation measures which save energy and ultimately reduces their energy costs. The three key messages for the campaign include optimum thermostat settings, the importance of changing air filters and strategies for reducing air leakage in the home.
Each of the television spots, three in English and three in Spanish, communicate one of the three key messages with the agency-conceived CPS spokesperson, “Bright Man,” who offers advice on saving energy.
Hearst Corporation’s San Antonio Express-News
The agency developed a circulation initiative called Express-News “Spurs Pak” season subscription.
The Express-News “Spurs Pak” is a branded newspaper subscription package that runs throughout the duration of the Spurs 2003-2004 season. Consumer incentives include an Express-News/Spurs umbrella and 6 commemorative Express-News front pages from the Spurs Championship season. In addition, the “Spurs Pak” subscription is free throughout the 2004 Spurs playoff run.
The Express-News “Spurs Pak” creative utilizes animation for the “Dancing Umbrella Classic” and the “Dancing Umbrella Hip-Hop” television spots. Additionally, a direct mail piece, in-paper advertising and website banner ads are being utilized. The agency also produced English and Spanish radio spots that air during Spurs games.
55th Annual San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo
Creative Civilization also developed a radio, television, print and outdoor campaign for the 2004 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.
How do you like your rodeo? “Mild, Medium, ¡Caliente!”
This unique campaign captures the excitement of the diverse product offerings of the rodeo along with a bit of San Antonio’s spicy flavor.
“What an exciting way to end 2003 as we prepare for the new year with three of our highly visible, brand icon clients in the Southwest,” said Gisela Girard, President & COO of Creative Civilization.
