“¡Cuéntame Más!” to debut August 18 on UniMás

“Cuéntame Más” (Tell Me More), a new and innovative show that will join the weekday national lineup of the popular UniMás Network, will offer viewers stories and interviews from the network’s team of news and entertainment reporters, with a variety of original local programming. Topics for the Texas-based production will run the gamut from music and movies to intimate interviews with today’s hottest celebrities and pop culture icons. The show will air at 5 p.m. ET/PT (4 p.m. CT) on Fridays on UniMás.

Produced in San Antonio and hosted by Jesse Lechuga and Carolina Vela, “¡Cuéntame Más!” will also feature full segments of popular local shows from Univision affiliates. From Houston, “De Película” (Like in the Movies) will give viewers a glimpse into the world of indie films. “Alt Facts” will cover trending topics in politics and beyond. “Te Doy 3” (Give You Three) will keep Latino millennials up to date about show business. Stations airing the program will also have the option to insert locally produced reports with content of special interest to their viewers.

Jesse Lechuga, a San Antonio native whose work as a DJ at Univision affiliate Estéreo Latino 92.9 earned him a 2015 Premios Juventud nomination in the “My Favorite DJ” category, has contributed reports on music and entertainment to Univision Network’s award-winning morning program “Despierta América.” Carolina Vela, a familiar face to Univision viewers in San Antonio, is a KWEX 41 TV host and reporter. Her work has ranged from a story on paranormal phenomena on a telenovela set to a report on the plight of street children in Mexico, for which she won an Emmy Award in 2016.

 “Cuéntame Más” will debut Friday, August 18 from 5 p.m. ET/PT (4 p.m. CT) on UniMás and air weekly.
