Cynthia López – VP @ P.O.V.

P.O.V., a division of American Documentary Inc., is the longest-running showcase for independent, non-fiction filmmaking on television. In a move to continue to strengthen P.O.V.’s national visibility Cara Mertes, Executive Director announced that Cynthia López had been promoted to Vice President.

With more than 16 years experience in television, communications and media, Ms. López has worked in the production, programming and promotion of independent films and videos. Ms. López’s responsibilities for P.O.V. include marketing, branding, and strategic planning while contributing to the overall business development of the organization. In addition to her role as Vice President, Ms. López will maintain oversight of P.O.V.’s Communications and Marketing department.

Cynthia López comments, “As a leading showcase of independent documentaries, P.O.V. clearly places a great deal of importance in connecting the works of these innovative filmmakers to viewers all across America. P.O.V. is committed to enhancing its core capabilities and services to meet the needs of our audiences. Ms. López reports to Cara Mertes, Executive Director, and P.O.V.’s board of directors, and forms part of P.O.V.’s executive team along with Simon Kilmurry, Chief Operating Officer.
