Da Silva hired as Managing Director of Grupo Gallegos.

Grupo Gallegos announced the hiring of Joe Da Silva to the agency’s first-ever position of Managing Director, effective October 1, 2012.

In this newly created position, Da Silva will relocate to the agency’s California beachfront offices and will be responsible for managing the agency. He will work alongside CEO and founder, John Gallegos, and the leadership team to ensure an internal culture of excellence, an effective utilization of resources, a consistent stream of unparalleled talent, and an output of only the best creative work for clients.

“We are thrilled to have someone with such a stellar reputation and impressive credentials join our team,” said John Gallegos. “Joe has been where we are today and has hands-on experience getting where we want to go. His 20-plus year tenure at BBH speaks volumes to his expertise and is aligned with our creative vision for the company’s future.”

After serving as Operations Director of BBH London, Da Silva moved to New York with Gwyn Jones, BBH’s Global CEO, to manage the NY office as General Manager and to take on the role of Group Operations Director for BBH offices globally.

John continued: “This is all part of the evolution of our agency to be equipped to help clients on any level. As creativity and production must continue to evolve, it will be great to have someone with Joe’s expertise.”

This announcement comes on the heals of the agency’s recent Chief Creative Officer hire, Pablo Buffagni, who came from Conill, a division of Saatchi & Saatchi.

Buffagni commented on Da Silva’s arrival: “I am very pleased with the addition of Joe to our team, not just for his excellent experience, but also because his experience was always aligned with great creative. He is an incredible asset and we are excited to have him help write the next chapter of the agency as we continue to address the increasing diversity of the global marketplace.”
