Dan Nance to leave Casanova Pendrill.
December 15, 2008
Dan Nance, Chairman of Casanova Pendrill, will be leaving the Agency after 7 years at the helm. Nance, who was previously VP, Managing Director of D’Arcy Latin America, took over leadership of Casanova Pendrill from Agency founder Paul Casanova in late 2001. Agency billings doubled in the following years as the Agency expanded into a full-service integrated communications offering and garnered significant recognition in industry awards such as FIAP, Ad Age Creative Awards, HispanicAd.com Hispanic Account Planning Excellence Awards, HispanicAd.com Media Planning Excellence Awards, and Reggie Awards. Casanova Pendrill also expanded to the East Coast in 2002 and opened a full-service NY office in 2006.
The Agency will now be led by current President/CEO Ingrid Otero-Smart who joined the company in August of 2008 to handle all day-to-day operations. “This was a personal decision based on my desire to relocate to Los Angeles and pursue a consulting practice,” Nance said. “I’ve partnered with Ingrid over the past six months on a thorough transition on all aspects of our business and I have tremendous respect for the leadership team in place. I know that they will continue to lead the industry moving forward.”
“Dan has been an integral and instrumental part of the growth and health of Casanova, and his contributions will be felt for years to come,” said Ms. Otero-Smart. “We are very confident that the team he helped put in place will continue to grow our business. Even in these trying times, Casanova is poised for another successful year.”
