De Varona – Director of Business Development at Billups Worldwide.

Billups Worldwide announced that Luis Alfredo De Varona, a 14 year industry veteran, has been named Director of Business Development, East Coast for the company. De Varona will be responsible for managing all East Coast operations in the United States, while primarily focusing on customer development, and implementation of sales and marketing strategies. He will report directly to Juan M. Garcia, Executive Director, Business Development, as well as to the company’s Managing Partner, Benjamin Billups.

De Varona, a specialist in developing out-of-home (OOH) media and sales strategies, comes to Billups from Delta Media, Inc., an OOH Media Agency, where as Vice President of the Miami office he conducted extensive marketing research and negotiated with OOH media providers in the United States and Latin America, establishing business opportunities for potential clients reaching both the General and Hispanic markets. Notably in the Northeast, De Varona launched Delta Media’s New York office, building up sales and cementing relationships with national and local advertising agencies. De Varona relocated to Delta Media’s Miami office in late 2000, where he was instrumental to the company’s market share increase for the southeast region. Prior OOH and managing industry posts include Florida Senior Account Executive for Clear Channel Outdoor, formerly Eller Media Company; and Account Executive for Color Reflections.
