Debbie Allen & Key Brands Launch Skin Care Line For Women Of Color.

Award-winning entertainer Debbie Allen has teamed with renowned dermatologist Dr. Carolyn Merritt and Key Brands International, LTD. to create the “Debbie Allen 5-Step Skin Care Collection.”
The new line, which recently debuted in select Wal-Mart stores across America, combats many of the unique skin care challenges faced by women of color.
“I’ve never been able to find a single line of products that can address all of my skin care needs,” says Allen, a Houston native. “So the idea behind this line was to create one complete collection that could address all of the skin care needs of women of color.”
Dr. Merritt, whose Chicago practice has been devoted to solving these needs for more than 20 years, developed a five-step regime for dry, acne-prone/oily and normal/combination skin.
“Not all skin is alike,” says Merritt, a board certified dermatologist.
“That’s why we developed three different regimens to help any woman with any skin type.”
Each collection features five products — a skin cleanser, eye make-up remover, gel toner, moisturizer and clay mask — that combine to offer women of color a complete skin care solution.
Ms. Allen, whose acting credits include three Emmy nominations for her role as Lydia Grant on the hit TV show “Fame,” operates her own dance school in Los Angeles.
