Debra Lee, Ruben Mendiola & Dave Shull to Keynote Multiethnic TV Leadership Morning Program

Debra Lee, the Chairman and CEO of BET Networks, will join Rubén Mendiola, the VP and GM for Multicultural Video Services at Comcast, and Dave Shull, SVP of Programming at Dish, as the featured keynote interview guests at the Multiethnic TV Leadership Morning Program, presented by Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News at the NY Hilton Hotel on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The Morning Program will focus on those elements that have made multiethnic TV a viable and sustainable business. In addition to these keynoters, the agenda will also include three roundtable discussions featuring other leaders in advertising, programming and promotion of Multiethnic TV. The Morning Program is followed by The Multiethnic TV Leadership Awards Luncheon and Ceremony (12:15 p.m. to 2 p.m.).

The Awards celebrate the viability of the multiethnic television business and will honor nine (9) executives for their noteworthy role in the growth of the industry. Nominations for these awards are currently being accepted through February 28, 2013. Entries may be submitted online at www.multiethnictv.com/awards.

Judging will take place in the first week of March and the award recipients will be contacted and announced by mid-March.

Louis Hillelson, the Group Publisher of Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News, recently announced four awards judges. They are Ruma Bose, an entrepreneur and author of the best-selling book “Mother Teresa: CEO;” Eduardo Caballero, Founder and Chairman of Caballero Spanish Media; Carmen DiRienzo, who was the founding president and CEO of V-me television network; and Ola Mobolade who authored the book “Marketing to the New Majority.”
