Detroit Regional Chamber Partners With Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The Detroit Regional Chamber and Michigan Hispanic Chamber of Commerce have entered into a new partnership that will benefit members of both organizations and strengthen a growing legislative advocacy network.

The partners will work together to advocate for pro-business legislation and public policy that benefits all members of the business community. In addition, companies from both organizations will be eligible for membership discounts and joint networking opportunities. MHCC members will have access to the Detroit Regional Chamber’s cost- and time-saving products and services, including discounts on office supplies, long distance and cellular savings and more.

“We understand that we work toward similar goals and legislative objectives, and that the Hispanic market in Southeast Michigan offers great opportunities for business growth,” said Charles Diez, chairman of the MHCC. “Through diversity and unity we grow stronger, while preserving our individual identity and autonomy.”

According to Detroit Regional Chamber President and CEO Richard E. Blouse Jr., CCE, the Chamber recognizes that the rich diversity of individuals, businesses and cultures is one of the unique strengths of the Detroit Region and key to its future. “Our ability to work together creates a unified voice to our representatives, locally and at the state and federal levels.”

This is the sixth strategic diversity partnership for the Detroit Regional Chamber. Other partners are the American Arab Chamber of Commerce, Asian Pacific American Chamber of Commerce, Booker T. Washington Business Association, Hispanic Business Alliance and National Association of Women Business Owners – Greater Detroit.
