Día de los Muertos traditions at Atlantic Station.

For three consecutive years, Atlanta Day of the Dead, produced by Lanza Group, LLC, returns to Atlantic Station. This vibrant festival celebrates life with traditional altars, live music, cultural performances and activities for children. Atlanta day of the Dead will be held on Sunday, November 4th 2012 from 12pm-5pm.
Liz Gillespie, Director of Marketing for Atlantic Station stated, “We are excited to partner once again with Atlanta Day of the Dead. This event combines amazing activities for family and children to participate in while celebrating with music, dance and Mexican culture.

This year, Atlanta Day of the Dead is expanding the number of altars and performers to continue growing the event. The traditional displays will be created by local artists, nonprofits, and other groups, and are colorful tributes to passed family and friends. Altars will be judged by a panel of local celebrities, who will select a grand prize winner. Performances at the event will include Ballet Folklorico Dance_Ando, Ballet Folklorico Tonalli, Banda Filarmonica Santa Cecilia Arroyo Blanco and Mariachi Eli Ventura. In addition, there will be activities and crafts for children, local handcraft vendors, and authentic Latin and international food.
