Spanish Broadcasting System announced the appointment of Greg Diaz to Director of Sales for the Company’s new media division, SBS Interactive. Mr. Diaz will report directly to Cynthia Hudson-Fernández, SBS Chief Creative Officer and Executive Vice President..

Mr. Diaz will be responsible for developing the Company’s Internet advertising sales division. He will work directly with SBS Interactive’s product and content teams to identify target advertisers seeking new avenues to reach the Hispanic audience base – the fasting growing segment of the U.S. population. Mr. Diaz will also work closely with the national and local sales teams at each of SBS’s radio stations in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago and San Francisco to create cross-platform ad sales opportunities across the Company’s leading radio stations and growing Internet portal..

Mr. Diaz carries extensive Internet ad sales experience. In 1994 he led the initial online ad sales launch of NYNEX Interactive Yellow Pages, the first online yellow pages. In 1997 he was recruited by IGN.com to start-up and lead the company’s Internet ad sales team. In 2002, he was hired by WeatherBug.com to develop the company’s regional and national online ad sales initiative. Today all of these companies operate profitable Top 25 online destination sites. Most recently, Mr. Diaz was Vice President of Sales for Internet startup Hispanic Digital Network (“HDN”), the first Hispanic online ad network for newspapers. During his three year at HDN, he successfully captured ad budgets from some of the top billing Internet ad agencies.
