Dieste Brings home Creativity Awards.

Dallas-based Hispanic agency Dieste earned a total of 6 awards in the 2008 edition of Creativity Awards, the 38th year of the prestigious international advertising and graphic design competition that reviews top creative from the industry. The agency was the top winning U.S. Hispanic ad agency this year. The Creativity Awards Annual is a trusted source of inspiration for creatives worldwide.
This year, work done on behalf of clients Intestate Batteries and Pine-Sol received recognition in the pages of the book. Two TV executions for Interstate Batteries were recognized with Gold, while work done on behalf of Pine-Sol, Clorox and Interstate Batteries won Silver. A TV spot created for Pine-Sol called “Shame” that features a family having dinner with a teenage daughter and her boyfriend playing footsie under the table, received Silver. The spot has been one of the most-awarded ads created by the agency to date.
This year, judges from some of the United States’ most prestigious design firms evaluated the work produced by their peers and students.
The 38th Annual Creativity Awards received a record 2,800 entries from over 44 countries. The competition showcases work from around the globe in the Annual published at the close of each year’s competition.
“Dieste had a very strong showing with six trophies secured this year, which compares very well against U.S. and Latin American agencies that entered the competition,” said Kathleen Ritchie, Creativity Awards.
The awards round out an unprecedented 15 awards received by the agency this year in industry leading events including El Sol in San Sebastian, FIAP, New York Festivals, Addy Dallas, and Festival Caribe.
“This year the creative work from the agency has received great recognition and we are proud of having strong showings, including the most awarded Hispanic agency at El Sol in San Sebastian , and a Short List recognition in Cannes”, said Aldo Quevedo, president of Dieste.
