Dieste Couple takes Top Prize in Circulo Creativo Contest.

Creative staffers from Dieste took first and second place in this year’s Circulo Creativo “Vete a FIAP” contest. The first place winners will be attending the FIAP Festival, the top trade award annual competition in Buenos Aires which recognizes the best creative work in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market.

Various times per year, Circulo Creativo holds contests that provide a theme to challenge the creativity of members of the advertising community. This year’s “Vete a FIAP” contest targeted Hispanic parents in the U.S., encouraging them to take intentional time out of their days to invest in their children’s lives. The winning entries are “Facebook”, created by the husband-wife team of Florencia Leibaschoff and Matías Sada, and “Bubble” created by Eduardo Durán and Ana Carina Gallo– both stood out from among more than 40 entries.  Leibaschoff and Sada will spend one week at the festival in Argentina this coming May.

Circulo Creativo is a not-for-profit association that gathers top U.S. Hispanic agency creatives and provides a forum for growing the discipline by exchanging ideas and resources for creative staff devoted to advertising to U.S. Hispanics.  Bettina Abascal from Circulo Creativo said, “This yearly contest aims to put the best talent of U.S. Hispanic agencies together to generate messages and ads that can help address social issues affecting Hispanics.  The effort this year was centered on generating awareness that having an active presence is children’s lives is essential to their well being and that what kids learn at home will shape the kind of people they’ll be tomorrow.”

“We are very proud of the quality work submitted by our team members—their sensitivity to the subject and their creativity shone through in these two impactful pieces that speak to modern parents who often grapple with the multiple pressures of modern life distractions when it comes to raising kids,” said Aldo Quevedo, president of Dieste.

Circulo Creativo was formed in 1999 and the “Vete a Fiap” contest has been running for the last five years.  Dieste has been a frequent winner, most recently taking the lead prize last year.
