Dieste, Harmel & Partners podcasting………………
January 13, 2006
Dieste Harmel & Partners announced the creation of the first Hispanic advertising podcast, AlterLatino. Borrowing its format from radio programming, AlterLatino focuses on advertising, marketing, media, sales, consumer relations and other topics of interest related to the industry.
“The show discusses advertising issues, trends and strategies, as well as interviews with prominent industry experts, including Dieste Harmel & Partners clients and agency personnel,” said Warren Harmel, Agency President.
The debut podcast presents a roundtable discussion focusing on Super Bowl XL advertising. The 28-minute transmission features CEO Tony Dieste and Executive Creative Director Aldo Quevedo interacting with agency personnel from all disciplines.
Future podcasts will also feature tips for Latino commercial shoots and interviews with commercial directors among other important topics. “The possibilities for content are limitless”, said Dieste. Next week’s show features an interview with Dieste and Harmel discussing how immigration affects advertising and marketing in America.
Described by Dieste as “a provocative initiative by the agency”, AlterLatino was created by Miguel Villagran, Account Executive on the Pepsi business at the agency’s New York office, following an agency-wide competition for provocative ideas.
“The competition is a way of rewarding provocative thinking throughout the agency” explained Quevedo. “It inspires creativity from everyone and is not limited to just one department.”
Harmel added, “We started the agency ten years ago to change the paradigm in the Hispanic market. The podcast marks the start of our next ten years with another paradigm.”
