Discovery en Español Launches All-New Spanish-Language Web Site.
July 27, 2002
Enhancing the timeliness and accessibility of its rich slate of Spanish-language programming, Discovery en Espanol will mark Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15, 2002 – October 15, 2002) with the launch of an all-new Web site, located within http://www.discovery.com . Like Discovery en Español itself, the Web site will be entirely in Spanish.
“Demonstrating our strong commitment to the Hispanic community, we are launching the Discovery en Espanol Web site in time for Hispanic Heritage Month,” says David Karp, senior vice president and general manager, Discovery Digital Networks. “The Internet adds a vital dimension of utility and relevance to our on-air programming. Now, with the click of a mouse, viewers can browse our diverse offerings and access programming information.”
The site will provide detailed programming information and schedules, with TV listings, program descriptions and air times. The first programming highlights featured on the site will be programs airing during Hispanic Heritage Month.
