Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group grows sales force.

Discovery Networks U.S. Hispanic Group announced the formation of a specialized advertising sales team set to represent the company’s expanded portfolio of Spanish-language networks, Discovery en Español, Discovery Kids en Español and Discovery Travel & Living (Viajar y Vivir). The new team will be based in Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.

“Discovery’s three Spanish-language networks have been well-received by the advertising community, and we are now prepared to better serve their needs with a more diverse, well-rounded sales team based in key Hispanic markets throughout the country,” said Victor Parada, director of advertising sales, U.S. Hispanic Group, based in Miami.

Eric Osipow, a seven-year veteran of Discovery Communications, has been named regional manager, advertising sales, Central region, and is based in Chicago. Osipow will be responsible for markets including Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, Chicago and Detroit. Previously, Osipow worked with Discovery Networks’ U.S. ad sales division.

Adriana Cevallos has been appointed as regional manager, advertising sales, West Coast, and is based in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Discovery, Cevallos worked at Tribune Entertainment, where she was responsible for selling advertising to broadcast networks.

William Lopez, regional manager, advertising sales, East Coast, is based in New York City. Lopez previously sold advertising for Univision and Fox Sports en Español and worked in advertising and promotions at The Vidal Partnership, a premier Hispanic ad agency.

Last year, Discovery Networks launched Discovery Travel & Living (Viajar y Vivir) and Discovery Kids en Español to complement its flagship network, Discovery en Español. The three networks offer programming created in Spanish for a Spanish-speaking audience.
