Dodge @ Oscar’s ‘Evening of Champions!’.

DaimlerChrysler, its West Business Center and Dodge Trucks give back to the community by being 2004 sponsors of Oscar de la Hoya’s “Evening of Champions”; an Oscar de la Hoya Foundation event. The Foundation’s purpose is to assist underpriviledged children of East Los Angeles.

The Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya, hosted the 8th Annual “Evening of Champions” dinner on November 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverley Hills, CA, to benefit the Oscar De La Hoya Foundation. This year’s honorees include Michael Bay, Tommy LaSorda, Peter Lopez, Mike Piazza and Jay Russell. Also included was a special performance by Natalie Cole. The evening was hosted by Mario Lopez, with a guest appearance by Morris Chestnut.

“This is a great event with a great cause behind it”, states Enrique R. Turegano, VP, Account Director of GlobalHue Irvine, which is DaimlerChrysler’s Hispanic advertising agency in the west. “I am honored to be attending the event on behalf of our West Business Center clients. In California we call Dodge Ram ‘La Nuestra’, and this event is muy nuestro.”

At the DaimlerChrysler table Mr. Turegano had famed regional Mexican star Lupillo Rivera as a special guest along with Ms Zully Gonzalez of LatinSolutions Promotions.

The Oscar de la Hoya Foundation was created in 1995 to provide athletic and educational opportunities to the children of East Los Angeles. The Foundation is committed to guiding young people toward leading positive lives and away from circumstances of gang violence, juvenile delinquency and substance abuse.
