El Cucuy To Host 60 Hour Radio-thon To Benefit ‘Niños de la calle’.

Renán Almendarez Coello, “El Cucuy de la Tarde”, KSCA 101.9 FM’s top rated radio personality and founder of the El Cucuy Foundation, announced his upcoming 60-hour Radio-thon,“VA POR GUADALAJARA!”, benefiting “Niños de la Calle”, the street children of Guadalajara. Renán will host the three-day event to be held on June 6th, 7th and 8th, next to the Grand Olympic Auditorium at the corner of Grand Ave. and Washington Blvd. in downtown Los Angeles. Donations will be used to build a village for 300 children in Guadalajara that will provide shelter and education, as well as towards a refuge for 300 abused women with children.

The Radio-thon event will be a three-day LIVE broadcast to include free concert entertainment for the family each day from 10am – 10pm, while “El Cucuy” broadcasts live on location to raise funds for the homeless children of Guadalajara.

Helping people is not just an occasional act of kindness for Renan, it is part of Renan’s daily routine. He is always dedicating time on his show to helping the community and people in need. Last year, Renan broke his personal record, broadcasting LIVE for 58 hours, raising an astounding 1.75 million dollars at his 3-day “Radioton de la Esperanza – Radio-thon For Hope”, benefiting Padres Contra el Cancer, a charity committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families.

Renan’s powerful popularity and loyalty to the community brought an unbelievable crowd of over 300,000 Hispanics to the two stages in Los Angeles and Panorama City during the 3-day Radio-thon.

On Friday, June 6th, at 10am, Renan will begin the “VA POR GUADALAJARA!” Radio-thon and intends to break his current record of 58 hours of LIVE broadcast.
