el diario/LA PRENSA will launch LEYENDO CON ROSSANA (Reading with Rossana) a new Book Club aimed to stimulate interest in literature and to draw attention to the vast contributions that Latin American authors have made in all genres, from fiction to history, to self help books. Rossana Rosado, Publisher and CEO of the newspaper, and an avid and passionate reader, will select 2 to 5 books per month and recommend her favorite titles to el diario/LA PRENSA and Urban SOFRITO readers. The chosen titles will be published in the LEYENDO CON ROSSANA column that will appear in el diario/LA PRENSA the first Sunday of each month, beginning October 6, 2002 and in Urban SOFRITO (English language) the last Thursday of each month.
“I love reading everything and for many years I have considered the idea of a Book Club. I’ve always wanted my readers to enjoy, as I do, the works of so many talented writers, especially Latinos. Now as we launch LEYENDO CON ROSSANA, the club is becoming a reality and I am very excited about the response that we are getting from Publishers, Writers and our Readers.
