“EL TERRIBLE” joins FOX Deportes

Erik Morales, Mexican boxing legend and eight-time champion, joins FOX Deportes as a boxing analyst it was announced by Carlos Sanchez, Executive Vice President and General Manager, FOX Deportes.   
 
“We are pleased to add one of the world’s most renowned boxers to our coverage,” said Sanchez.  “Boxing continues to be a leading sport within the Latino community, and his experience and knowledge helps to further elevate the caliber of our productions.”
 
In his role, Morales contributes analysis and commentary on all boxing related programming, ranging from fights to countdown shows to specials, alongside longtime commentator Mauricio Cardenas and former two-division boxing champion Daniel Ponce de Leon.  With over 25 years of combined experience, the trio provides fans with the most comprehensive boxing coverage filled with expert opinion, debate and analysis beginning this weekend with one of the most-anticipated rematches in boxing history – Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana.
 
Morales made his professional boxing debut at the age of 16 and quickly became a force in the boxing world. He is the first Mexican boxer in history to win world titles in four different weight categories, garnering championships in super bantamweight, featherweight, super featherweight and light welterweight. “El Terrible” fought in numerous crowd-pleasing fights, including memorable trilogies with Manny Pacquiao and Mexican rival Marco Antonio Barrera.
