Emilio, Jai & Walter Join People en Español.

People en Español editor Richard Pérez-Feria announced the addition of three top industry experts to the People en Español editorial team. Renowned music producer Emilio Estefan, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’s Jai Rodriguez and famed astrologer Walter Mercado have signed on to be contributing editors to the best-selling, Spanish-language monthly.

Emilio Estefan will serve as the magazine’s leading music expert offering readers an insiders guide to the hottest Hispanic music, summer concerts tours and most-talked about CDs. The new section will debut in the December/Year End issue, on sale Monday, November 1.

Talented actor, singer and dancer, Jai Rodriguez, currently starring on Bravo’s hit reality program Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, also joins People en Español’s editorial lineup in the December/Year End issue. Rodriguez will pen a monthly fashion, trend and culture page, answering dos, don’ts and dilemmas directly from People en Español readers.

Legendary astrologer Walter Mercado also kicks off his People en Español partnership in the December/Year End issue. Mercado’s famed forecasting will become a monthly section predicting love, fortune and success for all 12-horoscope signs. The section will consist of a reader service column entitled, “Querido Walter” (“Dear Walter?”) as well as astrology chart readings of today’s hottest celebrities. Additionally, Mercado will create a 16-page, pullout, special section for the February 2005 issue, offering readers an in-depth look into the year 2005, on sale Monday, January 3.
