October 20, 2009
According to Inside Radio, after showing the airstaff at “Hot 93.3” KDHT the door this week, Emmis plans to dump the rhythmic CHR format tomorrow at 5 pm and tee-up a ten-day simulcast of adult alternative KGSR (107.1) at 93.3. The end game is to move KGSR permanently to KDHT’s old frequency and launching a new regional Mexican format at 107.1 on Monday, November 30th.
Emmis says the new format and signal transition “will optimally allow the respective stations the ability to best reach the communities they serve.” It will be the company’s first Spanish-language station.
