Entravision Denver wins Emmy Awards.

Entravision Communications Corporation announced that its Univision affiliate in Denver, KCEC-DT, was honored with seven Heartland Regional Emmy awards in three different categories by the National Television Academy.
The National Television Academy is the only non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing outstanding achievement, raising industry standards, and improving the quality of television. Entravision received seven awards in the following categories:

“Tesoros de Colorado” is about the magnificent Great Sand Dunes in southern Colorado, one of the top natural attractions in the state. Every year hundreds of thousands are amazed by the constant splendor that changes with the rhythm of the wind. The place has spectacular panoramic vistas and is a true beauty of the west.
“Mamá, déjame dormir” describes how the organization Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation started. They provide a helping hand and a healing heart to families overcome by grief and pain after the death of their baby. The idea of photographing their baby may not immediately occur to them, but this organization offers gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner.
“No podemos olvidar” is a dramatic two part series on the Holocaust. The series describes the systematic persecution and murder of Jews by the Nazi regime and its collaborators throughout Germany and much of Europe, costing the lives of millions of Jews.
The special stories of “Tesoros de Colorado,” “Mamá, déjame dormir” and “No podemos olvidar” ran during the November 2008 rating period.
