Entravision’s Boston Celebrates ‘Pachanga Latina’s’ 500th Episode In Boston & Hartford.

Pachanga Latina, New England’s longest running Spanish language television show, will air it’s 500th episode on Saturday, June 26th at 10:00AM on WUNI-TV 27 (Boston/Providence) and WUVN-TV 18 (Hartford/New Haven).

Pachanga Latina debuted on WUNI-TV on September 18, 1993. The late Gary Marder, then sales manager for WUNI-TV 27, created the show. There have been four different hosts: Rochele, Iliana (Vasquez) Brown, Terri Fuentes and (current host) Dania Alexandrino. The show began airing in Connecticut on WUVN in 2001. Over the years, Pachanga Latina has included over 3,500 Spanish music videos and 450 interviews. Tens of thousands of fans attended shows throughout Massachusetts over years for anniversary celebrations and special concerts.

WUNI/WUVN General Manager, Alex von Lichtenberg said, “Pachanga Latina has been the vehicle through which we have stayed in such close touch with our viewers over the years. The longevity of the show can be attributed to the fierce loyalty of its fans. We sincerely appreciate the devotion from our New England viewers and hope we can continue to deliver this show for many years to come.”

The 500th episode will be taped at Foxwoods Resort Casino in June. More information will be released as the airdate approaches. As of now, viewers are being asked to write in and share their favorite Pachanga Latina memories in hopes to be included in the show taping.
