ESPN Deportes Launches Cronometro.

ESPN Deportes has launched Cronometro (Stopwatch), an innovative, sports news, information, and debate program devoted to the discussion of headline issues surrounding Latino sports stars. The 30-minute program is hosted by ESPN Deportes commentator Luis Alfredo Alvarez and includes a core group of panelists featuring ESPN broadcasting veterans Andres Agulla, Jose Hernandez, Ernesto Jerez and Alvaro Martin. ESPN Deportes will air Cronometro every Sunday at 11 a.m. ET.

Cronometro will be paced by a count-down clock while panelists “face off” in aggressive, rapid-fire debates about the week’s hottest sports topics and headline issues of interest to Latino sports fans.

“Cronometro was modeled after ESPN’s critically acclaimed programs like Pardon the Interruption and Sports Reporters,” said Lino Garcia, general manager of ESPN Deportes. “The program will be unpredictable, topical, and full of hard-hitting opinions, and we are sure that it will become a Sunday morning must- see program for Latino sports fans.”
