ESPN Deportes presents Salón de la Fama del Beisbol Latino Class of 2014

ESPN Deportes will broadcast a complete two-hour highlight show of the Salon de la Fama del Beisbol Latino (Latino Baseball Hall of Fame) induction ceremony hosted by Guillermo Celis and Kevin Cabral February 9 at 9 p.m. ET. The network will also present live coverage of the events taking place on February 8 during Beisbol Esta Noche, followed by live clips during the presentation of the Caribbean World Series Final.
 
For four consecutive years, ESPN Deportes has exclusively televised the induction ceremony and the activities around the event. Carolina Padron will join the onsite team in Casa de Campo Amphitheater in La Romana, providing exclusive reports and interviews around the ceremony.
 
By selecting representatives from every country in Latin America, the Latino Baseball Hall of Fame aims to institutionalize the excellence of professional Latino baseball, highlighting the greatness of those players that have significantly contributed to the growth of Latino baseball.
 
The 2014 class in the category of veterans includes: Silvio García of Cuba; Osvaldo Virgil of Dominica Republic; Luis Camaleón García of Venezuela; Luis Rodriguez Olmo of Puerto Rico; Baldomero Melo Almada of Mexico; and Gil Garrido of Panama.
 
The 2014 class of contemporary players includes: Dagoberto “Bert” Campaneris of Cuba; Moisés Alou of Dominica Republic; Luis Salazar and César Tovar of Venezuela; Juan Terín Pizarro of Puerto Rico; Vinicio “Vinny” Castilla and Aurelio López of Mexico; and Omar Moreno of Panama.
