ESPN Deportes Radio Nueva York 1050AM and M&E Productions, holder of the New York Red Bulls radio broadcasting rights, announced an agreement for Spanish-language coverage of New York Red Bulls games during both the regular season and the playoffs, beginning with the 2013 season.
Both home and away games will be broadcast live by 1050 AM Nueva York, a station that covers the entire Metropolitan area in addition to large portions of New York State, New Jersey and Connecticut.
“We are very excited to be able to expand our soccer programming with complete coverage of the New York Red Bulls,” said David Roberts, General Manager of ESPN Deportes Radio Nueva York 1050 AM and ESPN Radio New York 98.7 FM. “The MLS team keeps growing in popularity with Hispanic sports fans in the area, and this acquisition is another step forward in our effort to continue offering content that is relevant to our audience.”
“M&E Productions is very proud to be able to broadcast the New York Red Bulls on ESPN Deportes Radio Nueva York. During the 16 years of the league, we have always looked for the most genuine sports broadcaster and we are excited to finally have found it,” said Robert Sierra, Senior Director of Communications M&E Productions.
