ESPN Deportes Radio to offer coverage of SuperLiga 2009.

ESPN Deportes Radio will offer exclusive, live broadcast of SuperLiga 2009. The sports radio network will provide live coverage of all 15 games of the premier tournament which kicks off Saturday, June 20. 
 
Coverage will be conducted by ESPN Deportes Radio’s soccer experts, including Jorge Ramos, Hernan Pereyra, Omar Orlando Salazar, and Jairo Moncada.  The SuperLiga coverage will feature a pregame show every game day.
 
In addition, ESPNdeportes.com will offer extensive editorial coverage of the SuperLiga with previews of every match, recaps, up-to-date statistical content and exclusive interviews with players.  Multimedia coverage on the site includes reports via video and podcasts, along with the integration of live chats and analysis provided by the talent.
 
SuperLiga is a premier tournament that features the best teams from the U.S. against the best from Mexico.  The tournament will bring four of the top teams in the U.S. and Mexican league to determine the most forceful champion of North America.  The tournament kicks off on Saturday, June 20 with the first match between MLS team Chicago vs. Mexican Tuneros San Luis.  The third edition of SuperLiga will be played through August 5, 2009.
 
The 2009 U.S. participants were selected based on the 2008 MLS regular standings but who are not competing in the CONCACAF Champions League.  The Mexican teams to participate were selected based on the overall season standings for the Clausura 2008 and Apertura 2008 but who are not competing in CONCACAF.
