ESPN Deportes takes Top Shows on Tour.

Fútbol Picante, ESPN Deportes’ Mexican soccer news and information show and Jorge Ramos y su Banda of ESPN Deportes Radio, will embark on an initiative that will take the programs on the road to three major Hispanic markets in the U.S. , it was announced today. The three-month initiative, set to kickoff March 7, will take Fútbol Picante and Jorge Ramos y Su Banda to Los Angeles (March 7), Dallas (April 5) and Chicago (May 2).
“We are very excited to launch this initiative,” said Maribel Viteri, marketing director, ESPN Deportes. “This tour is great opportunity for the commentator teams of Fútbol Picante and Jorge Ramos y su Banda to further interact with the fans who watch and hear us every day.”
The road show will bring some of ESPN Deportes TV and ESPN Deportes Radio’s most renowned commentators, including legendary sportscasters José Ramón Fernández, David Faitelson, former players and Club América coach Daniel Brailovsky and Rafa Puente, alongside ESPN Deportes Radio’s Jorge Ramos and Hernán Pereyra. Each onsite presentation of Fútbol Picante and the Jorge Ramos y Su Banda will originate from a mobile set at venues open to the public. In addition to the live broadcasts, the live audience in each city will be treated to a live viewing of a Mexican first division soccer match on giant television screens – Los Angeles (Jaguares vs. Club Deportivo de Guadalajara at 6 p.m. ET); Dallas (Puebla vs. América at 1 p.m. ET); Chicago (Cruz Azul vs. Indios de Ciudad Juarez at 6 p.m. ET).
The tour kicks off in Los Angeles March 7 at the Plaza México of Lynnwood. As part of the day’s festivities, fans will be treated to a live viewing of Jaguares vs. Chivas Mexican first division match at 6 p.m. ET. ESPN Deportes will capitalize on its expertise of televising thousands of hours of live, remote programming each year by sending a group of experienced production team on the road for the tour.
