‘Essence of Latinas’ Silent Auction.

Lifetime channel star, and former MTV Real World cast member, Rachel Campos-Duffy travels to Chicago for one night only to join fellow Latina VIPs for a red carpet affair that benefits a great cause – the non-profit Mujeres Latinas en Acción.
On October 14, from 6 to 9 p.m., Chicago-area Hispanics are invited to get up close and personal with Campos-Duffy and the inspirational women featured in the national lifestyle magazine CATALINA, for the annual invite-only event “Essence of Latinas.” Attendees will also meet VIPs including Actress Estephania LeBaron (The Alamo) and Comedienne Patti Vasquez.
A silent auction will be held during the event with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Mujeres Latinas en Acción – a nonprofit bilingual/bicultural agency which seeks to empower women, their families and youth. “It will be an amazing evening to celebrate the heart of Latinas – our talents and accomplishments, individuality and unity,” says Mujeres Latinas en Acción President and CEO Maria Pesqueira. “With Catalina magazine’s leadership in this effort, the proceeds will help Mujeres to assist Chicago area Latinas realize their full potential and achieve their dreams.”
Silent auction items up for bid include: Catalina bracelet from Heaven Sent jewelry; Silk designer scarf by designer Carmen Macias for Coastal Portal; One night stay with dinner from the Ritz Carlton, valued at $650; Chicago Bears head coach, Lovie Smith, autographed football helmet; $100 Lettuce Entertain You gift certificate; Two tickets to a live taping of Good Morning America at the ABC Studios in New York; and two tickets to a live taping of The View at the ABC studios in New York.
