Estrella TV inks deal to broadcast Primera League Soccer.

Estrella TV has become the official and exclusive US Hispanic broadcast home for Alianza Fútbol Club soccer games and will air all the action live and direct from El Salvador where the team competes in the Primera Division, the country’s highest tier league.

Estrella TV will telecast the Alianza FC games on Sundays from 3p to 5p EST accompanied by both pre and post game shows providing insightful game analysis. First game broadcast is slated for February 3.

Formed in 1960, Alianza FC was immediately successful, earning its first championships in the 1966 and 1967 Salvadoran seasons. More than 50 years later, Alianza continues to dominate the league winning numerous championships and setting records that have yet to be broken, including remaining the only Salvadoran team to have won the CONCACAF Champion Cup.

“Coming off of a spectacular fall season for the network led by our top-rated prime time schedule of the most talked-about entertainment in Hispanic television, Estrella TV continues its powerful momentum with the addition of this great sports programming. Soccer has always been a favorite in our market and will be an excellent compliment to Estrella TV’s top-rated entertainment line-up ,” said Lenard Liberman, CEO of Liberman Broadcasting.
