ESTRELLATV premiere`LA ISLA’ on February 27 at 7 P.M./6 P.M. CT

EstrellaTV, the Spanish-language broadcast network of Estrella Media, will premiere the reality competition series, La Isla, on Monday, February 27. Hosted by Alejandro Lukini, La Isla features 18 contestants divided into three groups (Famosos, Celebridades and Desconocidos) of players competing against each other in physical and mental challenges. The one-hour series will air Monday through Friday at 7 p.m./6 p.m. CT on the network. La Isla is produced by content partner TV Azteca in Mexico.

Participants include Alan Ibarra (Actor & Singer); Alberto Guerra (Actor); Ana Ransanz (Triathlete); Bad Boy Rosas (Boxer); Carlos Pulido (Fisherman & Diver); Cecilia Ponce (Actress); Cristina Range (Housewife); Geraldine Bazan (Actress & Model); Juan Carlos Somoza (Student); Karen Gonzalez (Model); Maritere Alessandri (TV Host & Model); Matias Novoa (Actor & Model); Michelle Vieth (Actress); Paco de la O (Actor & TV Host); Ricardo Alcala (Administrator); Shocker Jair (Wrestler); Tania Rincon (TV Host); and Vanessa Zamboti (Judoka).

The eighteen contestants are organized into three tribes of six, assigned to different beaches: Playa Alta has comfortable accommodations and food; Playa Media is not as luxurious, but food is provided for them. Playa Baja is the worst beach, with only basic housing needs, and the tribe must hunt for their food. One day they play for the beach, the next they compete for immunity, and lastly, they fight to avoid being voted off. The losing team votes a member off the beach.
