Fox Sports World and Fox Sports en Español will bring live coverage of the 2002 European/South American Toyota Cup featuring Real Madrid of Spain (2001-2002 UEFA Champions League winner) and Olimpia of Paraguay (2002 Copa Libertadores Champion) on Tuesday, December 3, 2002 at 5:00 a.m. (ET). Fox Sports World will rebroadcast the early morning event at 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (ET), and Fox Sports en Español will offer rebroadcasts at 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. (ET). This event, also known as the Intercontinental Cup, is being played at the Yokohama Stadium in Japan.
Three-time Copa Libertadores champion Olimpia won the Intercontinental Cup in 1979 and will count on their top scorers Julio César Enciso and Alfredo Amarilla, and goalie Ricardo Tavarilla. Real Madrid won the 1960 and 1998 Intercontinental Cup titles and boasts a powerful line-up that includes star athletes Zinedine Zidane (France), Ronaldo (Brazil) and Raul Gonzalez (Spain).
